                 Journal on Control, which began publishing with volume
                 4, number 1, in 1966, as the continuation of the SIAM
                 Journal Series A: On Control (1962--1965).",

                 journal in this bibliography. Journal publication
                 ceased with volume 13, number 6, in 1975, when the
                 journal was renamed and continued as the SIAM Journal
                 of Control and Optimization; that journal is covered in
                 a companion bibliography, siamjcontroloptim.bib. The
                 initial draft of entries for 1990--1996 was derived
                 from the Compendex database. Additions were then made
                 from all of the bibliographies in the TeX User Group
                 collection, from bibliographies in the author's
                 personal files, and from the MathSciNet database.",
