                 publications from the similarly-named, but short-lived,
                 Journal of Numerical Linear Algebra with Applications
                 (ISSN 0129-3281) which published only issues 1 and 2 of
                 volume 1 in 1992. It was published by World Scientific,
                 Singapore and River Edge, NJ, USA. \par The initial
                 draft of entries for 1992--1996 was derived from the
                 MathSciNet database. Neither the OCLC Contents1st
                 database, nor the Compendex database, not the IEEE
                 Inspec database, covers these two journals. Additions
                 were then made from all of the bibliographies in the
                 TeX User Group collection, from bibliographies in the
                 author's personal files, from the Compendex database
                 (1970--1979), and from the computer science
                 bibliography collection on ftp.ira.uka.de in
                 /pub/bibliography to which many people of have
                 contributed. The snapshot of this collection was taken
                 on 5-May-1994, and it consists of 441 BibTeX files,
                 2,672,675 lines, 205,289 entries, and 6,375
                 <at>String{} abbreviations, occupying 94.8MB of disk
                 space.",
